  1. I read it too and really liked it. I thought that the man that killed Susie didn't really deserve to just die, i think he should have been prosecuted and pay for what he did to all the women. Because it seems to me, that he got the easy way out of just dying, though I am happy he died...

It was kinda weird that Susie came back through Ruth (I think that was her name...) and talked to the boy she loved.

But overall I loved this book, it was a haunting story that was full of hope and showed how people cope with grief.

  2. I read this book several years ago, so I don't remember many details, just the basic story.  I thought it was a beautifully written book.  What a wonderful perspective in which to tell a story.  I remember being really moved by this story.  One of the few books I might actually want to read again sometime.

  3. it was f***ing awesome

i think they r making it into a movie which would be rad!

  4. That was a very good book. It is my moms favorite of all time I think. She is constantly recommending it to people, including me. I read it cause of her recommendation!

  5. I didn't like it at all. I thought Susie became her killer, in a sense.

  6. Yes! I was crying at the end, I thought it was the most beautiful book I have ever read. Even though there is obviously a grim overtone throughout the book, Susie's narration is so perfect and I love the way Alice Sebold shows Susie maturing in heaven through the way Susie's attitudes and language changes. I must admit that a friend of mine recommended it to me and I didn't think it would be that good but when I read it I fell in love with it's rawness and beautifully expressed emotion. I'm quite dismayed that there is a film to be made as I fear it may ruin the book and that the uniqueness of the book won't transfer well onto the screen. PS. May I ask you a question? I don't normally read books of this sort and maybe you could recommend a few similar books?
