It's also called "Ten Little Indians"

I just got finished it. It was my summer reading book and I have to say what an incredible book. It was so suspenseful and had me trying to guess who was responsible for all the murders. It's a great read, not boring at all I didn't want to let go of it! I highly recommend it. For those who read it what did you think of it?

  1. Yes I have....it is actually the only thing by Agatha Christie that I have read!  I enjoyed it and found it very suspenseful.  That theme/plot has been ripped off so many times since she wrote that, it would blow your mind.

  2. Yes. I loved it. One of my favorite books!

  3. it was a pretty good book. we had to read it for school in 7th grade so it was kinda annoying doing the homework for it and everyone knew who the killer was at the end because this one kid in my grade ran around telling everyone which pissed me off but yeah it had a great and well thought out plot. i wish i had a mind like agatha christie.

  4. omg it's one of the best books i've ever read.

it started off kinda slow, but once it started rolling, i couldnt stop reading it!

the best death (is there such thing, haha) was the bear statue falling on that one guy (i forgot who it was, i read it like in 7th grade.. haha)

i wondered throughout the entire book how that rhyme would play out...

but yah, great book for sure...

  5. I read this a long time ago, but yes I've read it.  Glad you liked it :)  Some find Christie's books to intricate to guess the whodunnit plot, but I find her work quite intriguing.

  6. I agree with you 110%.  I love Agatha Christie.  I also really liked "Mystery on the Orient Express" which I highly recommend if you haven't read it. The only thing I didn't like was it was a bit difficult to understand if you weren't thinking really hard.

  7. Yes! The story is so gripping. You are compelled to read it in just one sitting.

  8. I loved it! You have to see the old movie version too.

  9. Amazing book. i read it 10 years ago for an 8th grade class. Right now on summer break from college I am reading through all her books. I love Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot!

  10. It is one of the more enjoyable of Agatha Christie novels. I also saw the play performed.

  11. I read it. It was really suspenseful and it made me not want to put the book down because of that. I usually don't like mystery books but that was a really good book.

  12. I loved it and think it's one of Agatha Christie's best. She incorporated the right amount of suspense with a good number of twists and unexpected turns to make the story about as perfect as a mystery can be.

If you haven't read it, I'd recommend you read her play called The Mousetrap. It was about as good as And Then There Were None. This is set in an inn and the people are trapped inside by a raging blizzard instead of being on an island from which they can't escape. It's excellent.

  13. Welcome to the wonderful writings of Dame Christie. Hopefully you will continue to read her books, as they are all simply excellent.

I produced her play "The Mousetrap" last fall as part of our local community theater.  It has been running non-stop on London's Theater Row (their Broadway) since 1952 (35,000 performances).  Like "...None", it is also suspenseful and keeps you guess until the last minute who the murderer is. We had sell out crowds for every performance.

  14. I would have liked a little more description, but that's just Christie's typical style...

But other than that: masterful plot, very suspenseful.

  15. Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors, and this is my favorite of hers. I usually can guess the answers to whodunnits but this one left me with my mouth wide open. Christie was absolutely brilliant. Rereading it a second or third time is not wasted effort either; knowing the end makes it even more interesting at some points.

I also recommend "Murder On the Orient Express," "Death On the Nile," and "Crooked House."

  16. Yeah. I Agree With you that book sucked.

heres a whole video on it

  17. YES YES YES VERY GOOD BOOK OMG! read it in grade 7 as a class together. very good book!

  18. I could've read that for summer reading. I bought the book went to read it and couldn't start. I hate books in the past. I can't comprehend as well. But it sounded great. :(
