Question:

Has anyone read "The Natural Cure for Your Migraine Headaches" book by Andrew Jones MD? Or tried his remedy?

He recommends natural (bio-identical) hormones for the cure of migraines in women, and the book gives information on what and where to buy them. I just don't know if this approach works and if the book is worth buying. I have had migraines for over 20 years, but I don't want to be suckered into sending money for a quack "cure."

  1. I have not read this book but a sign of quack cures are

    It contains "secret" ingredients

It has a convoluted yet scientific-sounding name.

It was invented by a "world famous" doctor that is not actually well known.

It supposedly can cure just about anything.

The manufacturer isn't exactly sure how or why it works.

You're supposed to use it even if there's nothing wrong with you.

    The FDA has outlawed it.

    Mistrust of the government/ doctors

Conspiracy theories that claim the FDA or drug companies are out to make us sick

Claim doctors wont tell you as they are out to make us sick to make more money

    Claiming most people are malnourished

    The promise of miracle cures

The author/seller stands to make financial gains off their "cure"

This website is good for evaluating quack cures. I'm not saying that popular medicine is always as up to date as it should be, or that it can cure everything, but it is the best we have. If it really could cure migraines I think we would know about it, and everyone would be doing it.
