why was Edward so angry when he first met Bella?

He is angry at her because she smells so delicious, he thinks she is key to his undoing, his abstinence from human blood. He is afraid, because of her, that he may betray himself and feed on her.

It was because of her scent, like he didn't want to kill her, but she smelled so sweet. If you go on the twilight website (just google it) you can read the first chapter of Midnight Sun. It's Twilight, but in Edwards perspective and when you read it, it tells you a better reason because it's Edward telling you the story. Also it's really good!:)

b/c her blood smells so good, and he cant stand it. and also if you read the first chapter of breaking dawn, it is from his point of view, he is thinking about ways to kill everyone in the class so no one knows he kills her but is mad about thinking about it b/c he is "vegetarian". ooh and also cuz he cant read her mind.
