Has anyone received a ticket for playing their car stereo too loud..and tried to fight it in court?

My boyfriend just received a traffic ticket for playing his music too loud ...any experience or advise as to how to (win) by trying to fight this in court?

  1. These cases usually get dismissed in my friends experiences, they still havent got me yet, its usually not worth their time and money and I also found out that your radio legally isnt allowed to be heard from 30 feet away. Good luck though you never now what will happen in court.


  2. The judge asked the police officer why he gave me the ticket and he said that it was disturbing the area. then he asked where  i was when he gave me the ticket. Then he asked the cop did someone ask him to tell me to turn the music down. And NO, only the cop who was strolling down the street wanted my music down.

    I think it depends on where you are and who is around.

    I was playing Loud Rap Music in Front of a gas station and the cop asked me to turn the music down and i said no. Then he wrote me a ticket.

    The judge excused my case and took it off my record.

  3. In the UK the law is that if the car audio can be heard outside the car it is illegal and it attracts a £30 fixed penalty ticket.
