Has anyone received an offset from exes stimulus BEFORE an offset from his taxes?

My ex told me that child support took both his taxes and stimulus to pay arrears, and I called child support, and they said that his report on the stimulus was in, but nothing from taxes??? Does anyone know why, or has this happened to anyone? Thanks!

if he filed a joint return with an spouse she may have filed an injured spouse claim and it'll take extra longer to process the regular refund b/c they have to figure out how much she's entitled to before sending his half to you.in the case of the rebate each spouse just gets half of the rebate and it don't require figuring out who gets what,it's 50/50.

If your ex has remarried and his new spouse has filed an injured spouse form, yes, the stimulus can be processed first.

Plus, he may not even have a refund except for the stimulus.
