I have booked for xmas dinner but I have just been told that the food is not very good.

Nope, I suggest you try it before xmas if you can and then cancel if its rubbish,  could be xmas dinner at home!!

I found it exellent when I last went there, but that was a while ago (about 2 years I think)....;
