Has anyone recently moved to st croix,vi and how would you rate? 1-10?

I've been to St. Croix a few times.  St. Croix is the rest and relaxation spot in the VI.  It has lots of beaches, historic sites and even a rain forest.  If you're looking for a tropical atmosphere to just chill out then St. Croix is for you.   If you're into nightlife though you'd be better off with St. Thomas.  I'd rate St. Croix 7/10.

I had a friend that lived there and she didn't like it very much...a  lot of crime.  Said St Thomas was better.

I have been living on St. Croix for past 8 years. Its a pretty laid back island and you will love it if you like quietness and beauty without all the traffic and huge tourist population. I like it better due to its rich history, architecture , and laid back nature. I moved down here from Chicago.

ive lived in st. croix my whole life and i can tell you everything. st.croix is beautiful and fun. and as much as you may have heard about the people being mean, it is not likely. the only problem is you have to show respect because everyone else does.im not saying to sound rude, but for example if u see someone(you dont even have to know em)it is manner to say good morning, afternoon, or night.its just decency.when u walk into a public place and there's people in close distance of you, you just say good morning and smile and keep going. theyll probably respond by saying, oh hi how are you doing? people are really nice and they look out for you. as far as places to stay. i'd recommend midisland if youre gonna get a home, or divi carina bay for a hotel. there are rainforests, beaches, festivals,carnivals, parties, caves, everything. its beautiful. sorry for writing so much!!you can just email me if you wanna know anymore!!lol

I have been to St. Croix many times.  It's a nice island but a bit quiet for me. Yes there is crime (not much), but you know what, crime exist everywhere.  I recommend it if you are looking to relax.  If you are into the nightlife, then St. Thomas is the place to go.

I would rate it a 7.
