I was contemplating renting one of these machines for my sofa. Anyone have any experience with them? How much is the rental fee & do they work well?

  1. They work very well - they usually come with an instruction pamphlet, so follow it carefully and be sure to allow enough time for the furniture to dry properly before you sit on it.

The rental fee depends on where you rent it.

  2. ABOUT $30 FOR 24 HOURS IS WHAT IT COST HERE IN WI. THEY WORK AWESOME ON EVERYTHING, SOME PLACES ENT THE HOSE TOOL SEPERATE FROM CLEANER ITSELF FOR ABOUT 5 MORE DOLLARS!

  3. I've rented one but only for carpets. They do a decent job but not great. I'd call a company that specializes in cleaning and have them do it (or at least get a quote from them on price). The entire rental plus the extra shampoo was around $65 for one day. We used a lot of shampoo. It doesn't go as far as you'd think...

  4. They worked pretty well for me. It depends on how dirty your stuff is and how long it's been dirty. It cost me $35 to rent it for 24 hours. In addition to shampoo, they also sell stain remover/pretreatment type stuff that you might consider if the sofa is really stained. It definitely looked much better when I was done; I noticed the difference. Good luck!
