Give your views on it. Who was your favorite character, mine was Neil Perry? Tell if you liked the message it gave. Did it make you cry?

  1. Well I think I first saw it when I was about 8 or 9 so, yes, I think I probably did cry.

I have seen it on tv years later and I sort of cringe when I see it because I think it is a bit on the cheesy side.

When I first saw it Neil Perry was of course my favorite character.  But now I would probably say it is Ethan Hawke's character because:

A: His character is portrayed most realistically (the others are more like caricatures)

B: The line from his on-the-spot brain storm in front of the class has always stuck in my head... "sweaty-toothed madman"...what does that  even mean?  Whatever it means it is permanently ingrained in my mind for good or bad.

  2. Greatest movie ever. I loved at the end when they all stood on their desks in defense of their brilliant teacher. My favorite character was the actor. I loved his struggle and how he did what he needed to in order to be himself. It was pretty sad when he died though...even sadder that his parents still didn't get the picture.
