Has anyone seen a black widow with a white dot on its abdomen(back)?

my husband and i are in a debate over whether black widows only have a red hour glass on their backs or if they can have a white spot. all help is appreciated.

    Markings: The famous red hourglass is seen on the underside of the abdomen on a female black widow. This hourglass will not always be shaped exactly like an hourglass, but it will always be on the underside. It can vary in color with red and orange being the most likely, but yellows and whites can be seen. The male will have an orange stripe or vertical dots along the top of the abdomen, with other white markings along the sides.


  2. Absolutely as there are a few different variations of the black widow. In fact, the most common type in Australia has a white or yellow dot and some of these are over here now do to international trade which made their way into the US. Further, there already was a version of it with a yellowish white dot in the USA. And, don't forget that animals and insects are just like humans and other animals as some humans are albino and carry a different biological gene. Don't touch it whatever you do. Step on it.
