LIDIAT, get yoru facts right.  There are NO great whites at sea world.  You probably think there are whales there too.  Sorry, its just a dolphin.  Dont open your mouth if you dont know what you are talking about.

As for the question, yes people have seen great whites.  A very good friend of mine studied them and did his thesis on them a few years back off the coast of Africa and has great underwater photography of them chasing seals.

they dont have them in captivity there is no shark at sea world  ive seen leopard sharks though swim right by me surfing

yes, people are attacked by great whites.  You can also see them at seaworld in florida
