I am thinking of sending my Desert Eagle back to Magnum Research to get it refinished and I wanted to know if anyone has done it before and if they were pleased with the result. Any answers would be helpful.

  1. Actually, the 1st post was made by someone who has more working knowledge of firearms than justin has ever heard about.

The deagle is an abomination, and very few shooters who know their guns will admit to owning one, since they are as unreliable, inaccurate and heavy as a lead balloon.

Here's the deal, there's 2 kinds of gun enthusiasts, those who buy what hollywood makes look cool, and those who buy what actually works.

Deagle owners fall into the 1st category.

  2. Anyone who actually owns one of those abominations probably won't publicly admit to it.

  3. That first post was made by a misinformed, "gunz r bad!!1", media drone.

    So don't listen to them.

If you're talking about their gold finish, it isn't highly recommended, I would suggest just getting the standard chrome finish.

The chrome looks a h**l of a lot better, and doesn't wear away after you accidentally hit a it against a tree. (not joking)

  4. Years ago I found one brand new in .41mag for cheap. Really cheap. Since I had a revlover in .41mag I thought it might be fun to have one in semi-auto too. It frequently jammed and I had to send it back to them twice. They ramped it, polished it, changed springs and it still was very picky about what ammo it wanted to eat. After futzing around with so much different ammo I finally got so disgusted that I sold it. Based on my experiences with the stupid thing I wouldn't recommend buying one.
