Has anyone started xmass shopping yet? or am i the only one?

i actually xmass shop all year round. if i see something that gets my attention and just screams buy me for_____ then i get it, put it in my closet and wait until they start selling xmass wrapping paper then wrap it up..im usually completely done by mid november cuz i hate going to the mall around xmass time..its asking to be run over and i dont want the last sound i hear on earth to be jingle bells!! anyone start their shopping? got any shopping tips (sales, hidden treasures, places to avoid, ect) they'd like to share? thanks guys

I shop all year round and  am notorious for my gift closet. You could actually go shopping in there.  I find most of my deals at the site below and have saved so much money since i started shopping this way. No more stress at the Holidays!!!

I don't usually start my shopping until after Thanksgiving Day.  I was in a store at the beginning of September and was very surprised that they all ready had Christmas decorations out for sale. Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year in the chain stores.

I do shop now for immediate family if it's something I know they want and their is a good sale.  But I tend to wait til Thanksgiving to do the bulk of it.  I don't rush, I plan and my kids love to get the hussle and bussle for that first shopping day if it's something that draws us to a store. We always meet their Dad and have a wonderful dinner together out.  Exhusting but fun!

We avoid Walmart.  There 30 day return policy stinks.  And if the store u return to doesn't carry the item, they can refuse to honor the return!  Now Target I luv them.  It's always a good feeling shopping in their stores. More relaxing and if you have elderly family members.  They have a wonderful morning where they can go with an associate and shop without the crowd.  They also offer refreshments.  It's just a great shopping experience.

My family will travel over 100+ miles to shop to get to the designer stores for specific items.  It's alot of fun to have a list of small items a family member has listed and have a set amount that can be spent and draw the name and each on the quest for the perfect item.  

We also draw a name or family and my children will shop for clothing or games. Then we'll come together to figure out what would complete that families holidays.  It's quite fun to bargain hunt and find things that strangers would enjoy.  I love buying treats and snack items, cake and things that they normally don't get to have.  My children will get other teens together to do stockings.  It's pretty neat to see kids who work to earn their money willing to come together to help another teen out. They have done it since they were babes...

I too am a year long shopper.  I have found that I cruise the Internet and look at clearance items throughout the year, then I order them and save until Christmas.  Lately I have found lots of great clearance stuff on HSN.com.  My mom and aunt love jewelery, and they had some beautiful bracelet watches for less than 20 dollars that looked like $100 or more, so I ordered them right up!

I also shop for kids stuff with the coupons that ToysRUs sends out about twice a year and I have got great toys for the kids that they really love, and saved a bundle.

Also, if I see something I like or know would be a great gift at Linens N Things, I use their 20% off one item coupon...it saves a bunch, especially if it is a higher priced item.
