Do you have any tips for our stay? Did you do any diving? What local trips would you reccommend?

  1. very nice hotel resort. about 35 mins drive from Liberia Airport.

Playa Hermosa is the nearest good beach.

You can take a day trip to Rincon de la Vieja, lots of wildlife, waterfalls and hot mud baths!

The best dive operator in the area is Summer Salt in Playa del Coco, but theyll pick you up at the resort or on the beach.

  2. i went to costa rica in august of 2004....had a great time....i don't think i stayed there. i didn't go diving, but i did go surfing on the pacific side....i went to la playa del tamarindo (the tamarindo beach). i reccommend going to the volcanos----they're pretty cool!--- there are markets that are called "sodas"...a strange name i know, but they're called sodas for a reason....there are so many people in the markets that it kind of looks like someone shaking a bottle of soda and than opening the bottle....the amount of fuzzy bubbles that comes out kind of looks like the amount of people in the market. try going to the markets in the morning and having breakfast there. i think for like $2-5 (American) you can get a breakfast plate filled and piled high of rice and chicken and peppers. it's really tasty and well worth the price.

  3. You should visit Playa Conchal, do a tour of the estero in Tamarindo to see crocs and monkeys, take a fishing trip from Pedro off the Tamarindo shore, see the bullfights in Santa Rosa, do some surfing... depends where in Guanacaste you want to go.  And what part of Guanacaste is Fiesta Premier?
