Has anyone stayed at citronella is negril jamaica? ?

Me and my cousin (both female) are planning to go here but we are concerned how safe it is. Could someone just get to us by water? If we have to leave the resort to eat how far away are the neighboring hotels?

Citronella is on the cliffs of the west end.. So no it's not too easy at all to get to you via water access.. Basically the cliff properties are very safe.. That end is very quiet, and chill. Citronella is right next door to LTU pub which has great food. You actually have quite a few places you can chill out at. s**y Rexy's, The Sands bar at around 6 is open to the public, Alice's restaurant, Serious Chicken, Negril Escape, Erica's, Xtabi, 3 Dives, and Just Natural. Everything is just a short cab ride, or walk away..

Places are pretty close up there, so you are not isolated by any means..

Maybe you could get some information from people that have been there at tripadvisor.com.  They can give you some idea of what to expect and where to go.  We have been to Negril many times and feel safe.  Being two girls alone you should be very aware of your surroundings and never go off with anyone.  Stay with a tour group when you venture out and surely you'll have a great time.
