Has anyone stayed at the Grand Oasos? What was it like? Is it as nice as the pictures?

I am staying at the Grand Oasis soon for my honeymoon and have read the reviews on expedia and am getting very nervous. Has any one stayed there and what did you think of it? Was it nice? Which of the buildings should I stay in?

Hi! Honeymooner!  I hope you're having a lovely afternoon!  Yes, I stayed at the Grand Oasis Playa (adults only hotel) this past January 2007 and I had the most wonderful time.  As a travel agent, I got the rate of $69.00 per person/per night with all inclusive features.  They have 7 different restaurants, a night club for dancing the night away, three different pools all facing the Caribbean ocean, over 80% oceanview rooms (and the rooms and room service were fabulous), cabana-type beds on the white sand beach, and I saw at least four (4) different bars in and near the pool areas.

YES, grand oasis is awesome, they have great food and the hotel is huge, and the beach is perfect, the water is clear blue (got some waves). i say stay in the building that is long and has a short height, thats where i stayed at least. THE POOL IS HUGE AND REALLY BEAUTIFUL TOO!!! there are a lot of things to enjoy there near grand oasis hotel
