Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Monaco And Grand Canal, Venice and what did you think of it?

Do you have recommendations as to great places to eat in Venice?

I have stayed there and at their other property two blocks away (the Selvadego). Both are excellent choices - very close to Piazza San Marco. Ask for a room overlooking the Grand Canal.

I like Da Raffaelo as a place to eat, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit at one of the canalside tables and watch the gondolas going by.  The  Osteria Ai Quattro Ferri (Calle Lunga de San Barnaba) is very good.
