Has anyone stayed at the Sunset Lagoon resort in Cancun Mexico?

i am visiting there in October, also we have access to the sister hotel Sunset Royal... any reviews? advice for traveling outside the country?

My father in law has a time share w/them, we haven't stayed or used it.  We did visit the place back in 2003.  Very nice rooms, big pools and heard the food is good.  The only bad thing is the lagoon part.  (i prefer the ocean and sand).  Becareful the lagoon has croc's.  I didn't know until a friend mentioned it to me.  I use to do the jungle tour each time i went to cancun, after i heard that i cancelled that tour out! They say that the croc's stay far away from the hotels by the lagoon, but back in 2002 a croc went into the plaza caracol, which is about five minutes away from the sunset lagoon.  Just becareful when walking @ night by the lagoon.  Please post a review when you come back.  My father in law is thinking of getting rid of his time share.

Rooms and facilities at the Sunset Lagoon are far more spacious and aethstetic than the Sunset Hotel (which is more of a high-rise), and theres a fast little shuttle boat that runs across the lagoon between them to take you from one to the other (and back again later) at a whim, so by staying at the Lagoon you've got the best of both worlds. Use the beach and the WiFi at the Sunset Hotel and use your room at the Lagoon to rest, relax, and to get ready to go downtown or to the convention center.

Oh - and stay 100 miles away from any timeshare presentations there. The ones at the Sunset are super-hi-pressure and will take up your whole day if you let them.
