i'm taking hubbie down to london for his birthday and we're going to the o2 for the exhibition. i'm torn between 2 hotels - the raddison canary wharf and the hilton. the hilton seems nearer the amenities but the radisson offers what looks like a nicer room for the same price. we want a nice room but the main priority is to be close to the shops at canary wharf but easy taxi ride to the o2. suggestions please ! thanks

  1. Both are nice hotels. The Hilton is in a better location, within walking distance to shops.   The Raddison is a bit out the way and a longer walk or 2 stops on the DLR to Canary Wharf.  You must make sure The Hilton is in Marsh Wall E14 not in South London (across the river) - as that is sometimes listed as Canary  Wharf and it's not.  Although if you did stay there you could get the ferry across.  Personally I would go with The Hilton, and walk to Canary Wharf Pier and get a boat to the 02 - much nicer than a taxi.
