Has anyone successfully installed Yahoo Go! on a Sony Ericsson W580i?

I have tried everything possible to load Yahoo GO! on my W580i to no avail. Everytime I get the Operation Failed error.

Unfortunately, the AT&T branded SE w580i has some sort of error that I've also attempted to get answers for and all answers seem to direct me to "permissions" for the java app to gain access to the web.

To give a very simplified example, I downloaded and installed Opera Mini browser it does not have complete permission to use the internet capability of the phone. Anytime the Opera Mini browser tries to access the web you receive an alert that asks if you wish to grant this application permission to allow this application to have access to the web.

What I do not understand is why the application will not complete the installation and simply request permission each time access is attempted like the Opera Mini browser. Opera Mini may be trying to change permissions settings that are locked by AT&T (since AT&T firmware is in every phone they sell). If the permission change is not allowed and the installation requires the change to complete successfully then an error will occur.
