Has anyone taken Naproxen while breastfeeding?

My doctor prescribe me naproxen for my "middle pain". I've looked it up on line and it says that it does reach the breast milk but they don't fully know how a baby reacts to the drug. I'm just wondering if anyone has taken it and did the baby tolerate it very well?

  1. Naproxen is the same as Aleve.  I believe after baby is 3 months, it's safter to take while nursing.

  2. Try here:

Ibuprofen (eg, Advil, Motrin) would be a better choice if baby is young and if it will work for you.
