Has anyone taken a bugaboo on a cruise before? I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be too big to take?

  1. You mean the stroller?

If so, shouldn't be a problem as long as you can fit it in your cabin.  The hallways are all built to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters, so a stroller should be fine.

Also, make sure your child is old enough.  Different cruise lines have different rules, but if he/she is over 12 months you're fine.  More details here: http://www.cruisesavvy.com/savvyguide/in...

    just click on "cabin photos"

    Hope that helps!

  2. Leave the bugaboo at home and take along a small umbrella stroller.

The larger strollers are too hard to maneuver, especially in the crowded areas like the elevators.

Also, you can take the umbrella strollers in port much easier than the large ones.

We used the smaller strollers for our niece and nephew and they worked out much better than the larger strollers.

  3. If you are always going to stay on the ship, then your large stroller would be ok. It will be tight space in your room, though. If you are going to shore, It might be difficult getting yourselves and the stroller on and off. You might wish to restrict yourselves to excursions designed for handicapped people. When you travel, it's usually best to take a stroller that weighs less than the child.
