  1. i have not had the opportunity to go on a disney cruise but i have gone to the website and from what i remember it will tell you the best time to take a trip but plan at laest a year ahead as many cruise lines suggest in order to get the accomodations that you request. i am actually planning on  going on one of the disney cruises to the mexican riviera and for me and my wife in mid-june we are pricing with moderate accomodations about $4500. i believe best time to go is in fall or winter but not too sure should show that on the website, and pretty much the only thing to avoid is planning to late and taking to many things.

  2. We have been on the Disney Cruise a few times, and we love it!  The cruise is not cheap, but if you go during the "off" season, it is a bit less.   If you are planning to go during the winter months, you can expect to pay more.  The Disney Cruise has a great deal to offer, and the service and food is outstanding.  You will not be allowed to spend cash on board; everything is charged to your room, so be aware and keep track so there are no surprises at the end of the cruise.  Gratutities are not included, and you should expect to tip your cabin attendant, server, assistant server and likely the dining room supervisor.  Your serving staff will travel with you from restaurant to restaurant.  Room service is available 24 hours a day, and is included in the price of your cruise.  If you end up with a late dinner seating, that is a good option for the kids.  If you stay on board while the ship is in port, you will have a nice opportunity to enjoy the ship and its amenities, like the pools, without fighting the crowds.  There are many parties, shows and movies you can enjoy during the evening.  When you decide which cruise to take, check into the shore excursions, and book early - some of the excursions fill up fast.   The Disney Cruise website has lots of good information, so check it out - have a wonderful time!

  3. I just returned last week from the Disney Cruise Ship "Magic".  It was a wonderful trip and I was impressed from the moment I boarded to the moment I left.  Disney has a welll run ship with over 70 counselors to keep kids, teens, adults busy through out the day whether you at a port of call or just staying on on board the ship.

The cabins are bigger than most with a neat feature of 2 baths (One has a toilet and sink, the second has the shower/tub and sink).  Definitely help get everyone's teeth brushed in the morning.

The food was good...they have sit-down dining for breakfast and dinner, buffets, Goofy's health bar (fruit, wraps, panini sandwiches), as well as a burger/hotdog and pizza kitchens on Deck 9.  Soda/Coffee is available 24 hours a day on Deck 9 as well.

The shows were wonderful, normally two showtimes each night so if you're busy eating dinner, you can still catch the later or earlier show.  Disney also had lectures, shopping tips, and movies playing pretty much at one of their 3 theaters (of course these were Disney films).  They have TV channels all day on shore excursions, events, and Disney programs.

It's a great cruise, even though it cost more, but it was definitely worth it.

Check the website for details and call them.  They'll send you an booklet/DVD with helpful information.

There was so much to do I was never bored....

    Good Luck and have fun.
