Has anyone taken a trip by rail across the Canadian Rockies? What was the experience like?

Yes, Toronto to Vancouver.  Deeply enlightening.  We live in a vast and beautiful country full of good, honest hard working people.

Different and diverse for sure, but clearly the best country in the world.

It is more expensive than flying, slower and on occasion more frustrating, but at at a larger level more rewarding and certainly more beautiful.

I will never forget it. I was 8years old and travelled with my mother from Kelowna,BC to New Brunswick.

I will alwys remember going through the rockies.

If you have the oppurtunity I reccomend it highly.

It is a fabulous trip.The last time I did it, the train trip was partly over night. So my only advise is to get a sleeper for this part of the trip as sitting up all night is very uncomfortable with little to see in the dark.

Yes, Jasper to Edmonton.  Beautiful, I highly recommend it.
