Has anyone taken methylprednisolone while pregnant?

the doctor is the one who prescribed it for my nausea, but it says on the script not recommended for pregnancy but apparently they do it all the time

I would talk to your doctor before taking it. I wouldnt take person's word for it.

Many women take it while pregnant for various conditions (although I have never heard of it prescribed for nausea before - but if it works then great.)

Yes, it is safe, and if there was a significant chance that it caused any kind of birth defects they would not give it to pregnant women because they always tend to err on the side of caution with pregnant women. Have a little faith in your doctor's competence.
