  1. well i just took it today.

50 multiple choice, the thematic was on religions, and the dbq was genocide, threats to the environment, and weapons.

    not too bad.

  2. The AP European test focused largely on women. I doubt they'd have the same topics on the regents.

  3. took it today.

    essays were super easy

for the nanjing one i put americans

what did everyone put for the one about mao zedong?

  4. I bet that like always the stupid thematic essay is going to be on something that we barely studied on is like the very first topic we did.

If that is not the case then I think the Theme will be on Global Problems(International Terrorism, Pollution, Deforestation, Religious Tensions, etc.)

  5. i thought it was pretty easy

    except for the DBQ

i got a 46/50 on the multiple choice

  6. cc is right it was japan, so whoever was the one who said we were all idiots for thinking it was japan?  how to you feel now?   theres no need to be an *** about it and make everyone feel stupid wen your the one who got it wrong

anyway, the one with indo-china, and the us wanting to stop the spread of communism im pretty sure tht one was korean war, im not positive

  7. I have taken the soc regents the dbq essay is about genocide and enviormental problems. The other essay is about belief systems. The test was very easy.

  8. essay and dbq were so easy.

multiple choice was so hard. hardest one ive taken for multiple choice.  there were like 7 questions i wasn't confident about. nanjiang was japan.. but for some reason alot of people choice america.. for the essays i did Hinduism and Buddhism .

nobody thought mulitple choice ws easy unless they were AP students.. i heard the curve is pretty good though.. still freaking out about the whole test though.

  9. the one with korea and the marshall plan was the vietnam war

  10. Yo kelly How do u know if the essay are gonna be what u said?

  11. Wow you people have got to be kidding me.  You don't even have to study for this ridiculous "test".  It's basically testing you on your common sense.  If you get lower than a 90, then you're pretty much dumber than a gopher.  I took it today, and it was absolutely preposterous.  No studying is necessary AT ALL.  The multiple choice was incredibly easy.  The essays were a complete joke.  They practically GIVE YOU the answers in the background information of the essays.  Basically, the test was d**n easy.

  12. no but dude listen

rumor has it that the essays are on the roles of women in history and latin america so i'd brush up on it if i were you

  13. what was the one with the people who violated human rights in nanjing?

  14. i took it a few days ago, would have gotten a 100 but in the last 2 minutes i changed a right mc to a wrong answer unfortunatly

thematic essay was really easy i wrote about judaism and islam... so easy 5 pillars, alms, fasting, hajj to mecca, monotheism, muhammad, allah, koran .. blah. & judaism was too, torah, covanent between god and noah and god and abraham, sabbath, holy days, um i forget what else i put w/e

and nanjing doesn't sound japanese, its in china, two totally different areas,  thats like saying montreal (in canada) sounds american, so dont make fun of someone for choosing the wrong answer, they just didnt know. so like i could understand why someone could get it wrong. but the answer was japanese not cause it sounds japanese but they invaded nanjing.

umm the kuwait one was... collective security

all the answers.. the test, conversion chart

  15. ha. no one could have taken it yet. Everyone in New York state takes it on the same day and time

  16. The test is not that easy and it is not very hard. I stumped on five multiple choice questions, on one of the questions I thought that the Latin American economic poilcy is the embargo. Another of the questions I got wrong is that Mongoila has a good education, while Pax Mongoila made trade to the Silk Road easier. I can't believe how difficult is this Regents. Are they trying to make up the January one, which is easier then this hard exam?

  17. for all of you saying that nanjing was japan, you really need to go back and study the Opium Wars badly, it was CHINA people, how stupid can you be?

how was the MC hard? kidding  me?

  18. I just took it as well... it was easy.

The only thing I didn't know was one multiple choice question... it was about Iraq invading Kuwait, and the UN's response causing the Persian Gulf War... and it asked what that all was an example of???

Lol my teacher had never even taught us what any of the possible answers were... so I just guessed. :P

  19. Well the answers for the MC were pretty obvious. It wasn't even process of elimination. The thematic and the DBQ was ridiculous. This test was really easy. You guys are worrying too much. By the way, the AP Euro kids thought it was hard because they didn't even study world history. Common sense, people.

Honors Global doesn't really help when it comes to Regents exams. It's not that much more in depth or accelerated than that of Regular Global, and the only accelerated course would be AP World HIstory, which is about 10 times harder than the Regents.

It was kind of a joke compared to the AP exam.

  20. The global multiple choice wasn't too bad..........The essays were soooooo easy that i thought i was doing something wrong..................and for the nanijing question i put JAPAN.....why would it be americans WHEN THE QUESTION SOUNDS JAPENESE....................what did you guys put for the one with: Marshall plan nddd Korean War those were one of the choices it was a question with a series of events and two of the answer choices were marchall plan and korean war

  21. LOL, no one has taken it yet, silly.

  22. I thought the first half of the multiple choice was hard but the rest of the test was easy. I really caught a break with the essays.

At least it was easier than chem! :)

  23. I just took the regents and it was easy. the thematic essay was on religion and the other global problems, genocide, weapons of Mass destruction, and envieroment. The multiple choice was not so hard.

  24. the answer to the nanjing question was the japanese...the japanese people invaded nanjing

  25. IT WAS HARD....i am global 10 honers and i hated this test. the multiple choice was the hardest that i have ever seen. i would have never guessed that the thematic essay topic would have been belief systems, that is a 9th grade topic that no one cares for...I'm just going to take it again in August. even the docs for the dbq were harder then i have ever seen. also another bad topic to choose.

  26. who cares, its not gonna be hard lol

  27. Haha, I had the best choices for my thematic essay...I wrote about the Catholic Church and how the Scientific Revolution and the Protesant Reformation weakened it's power and  also Islamic Extremists...haha.

  28. wow meow give up on global forever if u put americans for the nanjing one...idk if its you, or just taht your teacher should get fired. good luck retaking it next year =)

  29. the multiple choice was really hard.

even the ap euro kids in my school thought the it was.

    the essays were easy.

  30. The answer to the question about Nanjing was Japan. I am positive. This event occurred in China and is more commonly known as "The Rape of Nanjing."  After the republic of China fell to the imperial Japanese army, the Japanese  army committed numerous crimes that violated human rights. Some of the acts are as follows: looting, arson, rape and execution of prisoners of war.
