Has anyone taken the ferry boat trip through the Panama Canal?

Question

you take a bus from Colon to Balboa on the Pacific side and ride the Ferry boat back to Colon. Is it a good shore excursion?

hi!! well isnt a ferry is vessel that u take and do the trip through the panama canal...

i had the oportunity to do the trip like 2 times. is a good experience is very cool. i times when you are in the locks u have he oportunity to touch the walls of the locks. if u want to do it and ur not sure.. i suggest do it!! u going to enjoy it!!

I went to one uan boat called the Island Queen, if I'm not mistaken.  It was fun, and there was a lot of booze, so be ready to drink!
