i am looking into kindermusik classes. it is like a baby music and learning class once a week. you stay there with the child.

has anyone tried this? it sounds like a good idea for me and my 17 month old. i have read good things about the class. the teacher here in our area is educated and highly recommended.

  1. We have friends who have gone and they LOVE it.  Parents and siblings are all invited to the class and the child always goes home with something.  The family we had visited a few weeks ago came home with a little inflatable ball.

  2. yes, my DD and I just finished a 6 week class for the summer.  We started when she was 17 months, and we signed up for the birth-18 month class.  She was WAY AHEAD of the others in the class.  Nobody else was walking in the class, and many couldn't even crawl.   Our teacher let me try the 18-36 month class, and that was much better for her, we couldn't switch to it during the summer session because of our schedule.

I really liked the class, and we are going to take the 18-36 month class this fall.

I would sign him up for the 18-36 month class...he is probably be the youngest, but I think that would be better than him being the oldest.  Make sure you take advantage of the free trial class that they offer.  Sometimes they will let you try both levels of classes to see what works best for your child.

Have fun with it!  They give you music CD's, books and instruments to take home.  Hannah loved *singing* along with the CD and dancing around the house.
