I'm milling around buying a bottle, but at $70 dollars I would like some feed back.

  1. I haven't personally tried it but have a friend who did.  you need to be careful with it the ingredient that gives you that effect is poisonous and can make you very sick.

  2. It is low quality. Lucid is labelled as beet spirit, other brands such as Kübler and Sirene as grain neutral spirits. If you really want to try one of these USA safe - thujone free - absinthes then Kubler is the best. Lucid's makers not only removed the thujone to comply with the FDA they also reduced the anise content to "suit" US tastes!

  3. It's good ^_^ you get moneys worth

  4. its not "real" absinthe it doesnt contain the "active" ingredient known as thujone.. in my opinion absinthe has no real redeeming qualities other than being a high proof of alcohol.. and people being impressed by the fact that you obtained absinthe.. i dont really enjoy the taste much it taste like anise seed/ licorice..you dont see "green fairies" their are no rainbow colors there is no hallucinating.. i have tried many different types of absinthe seeking out this experience to no avail.. if you want to spend 70$ that is your choice.. i personally would rather by a nice bottle of scotch/vodka/tequila..
