  1. 1. made me more relaxed and sociable ( i was very uptight before)

    2.  I was more open to new people and allowed myself to actually become very close to others (something I've had trouble ever since a bad tragedy in my childhood)

    3.  Not addicted, because it's summer I'm smoking about once a day, but once my fall semester starts I'm going to back down again to just weekends. (that's not hard, I do it every year)

    4.  It is illegal because in the late 1800's one man saw that Mexicans (yes, the race war will never end) were flooding into the US and bringing in what they called Mota, or Marijuana.  Before the public even knew what weed was, this man-- under government supervision-- founded the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (the predecessor to the DEA) and launched a smear campaign against this "dangerous drug."  Part of the campaign was Refer Madness, a film that is so absurdly wrong that it is funny.

There were also other, less impacting reasons.  Southern farmers lobbied against Hemp because Cotton was their cash crop and Hemp, which has 1000 more uses than cotton, and is cheaper and more durable than cotton, can grow anywhere, even in the north... they didn't want that happening.

    5.  Yes, I am an advocate for responsible adult smoking.  Research has shown that the human brain does not finish developing until about 15 and any form of intoxication before that age (including alcohol) can result in lowered cognative and learning abilities.  Above that age there is NO proven threat of permanent brain damage.  You will receive some short term memory loss, but that wares away once the THC is out of your system (at max 30 days, min 2 days.)

  2. I have never tried it and will never do it either, a very good friend of my did it very often,  he was working for UN and very intelligent person but Marijuana changed his personality in a negative way and he was also very depressed. I don't have any contact with him anymore, but I always get sad when I think about him...please never try this kind of stuff and live a healthy life. good luck

  3. 1. went to ****** rehab because of pot and other ****.

broke my moms heart, and my gma. met alot of potheads, idk i still love smoking weed.

    2. nah. im still the same. except im not innocent anymore hah.

    3. im not addicted to it, but i can smoke it every day and every time when i have some.

    4. theres alot of reasons why its illegal, marijuana is a gate way drug that can lead to other drugs. pot is considered a drug cuz it gives head change. in some states pot is legal.  pot is a cashcrop in other foreign countries.

    5. i dont peer pressure no one. smoking weed isnt really a big deal. i think it relaxes me. some people get paranoid and tripp out. but thats just how some people are. pot makes me calm, i can still act normal when i smoke pot.

  4. 1. It didn't influence me at all, I'm very intelligent and I was certain that I would only try it once.

    2. At the time, my thinking was very paranoid, and I was convinced that everyone thought I was extremely annoying, and then I kept asking people if i was, they said no, i wasn't satisfied, then i thought it was annoying of me to keep asking, so then i had to keep asking if i was annoying! it was terrible.

    3. No i haven't done it since, it was many months ago and i don't plan on doing it again.  i did it just for the experience, and that's it.

    4. I think that if people could somehow be contained or just convinced to remain in their homes when they smoked marijuana, it would be almost fine.  But anything that impairs people's judgement, alters reflexes, and has no quality control for laced substances should not be allowed into the public legally, no matter how harmless it is most of the time.

    5.  I couldn't recommend it unless they were in the care of people who they trusted, and are not under the influence themselves. I think it's fine for the experience, just so you aren't in the dark, but i know too many people who were weak and just became another statistic in the whole "pot is a gateway drug" thing.  If one is absolutely certain that they are in safe hands while high, and is absolutely sure that they won't get into harder drugs, and try to never do it again, then they should try it.

Thats about it. I'm really glad i got the chance to answer this so thouroughly haha

  5. Different people react to it differently. Some people become completely absentminded, others are quite alert, some people become careless, others  more passionate/ sensitive. It's half and half. No matter what, though, no one gets addicted to marijuana. It is physically impossible. It is, however, psychologically possible to be addicted to marijuana, but such an addiction is similar to being addicted to food or fishing.

Marijuana is federally illegal because it is easy to abuse. In other words, it is easy to inhale too much, especially if you are young or not use to it. Anyone who abuses the use of marijuana Typically becomes too disoriented to be functional within society. It Can impair your judgment, the way too much alcohol can. However, it is not as physically damaging to your body the way any other legal, regulated or illegal drug is.

Note that I say typically because some people can smoke as much pot as thy want and still drive a car safely.

It's a good idea to try marijuana, but only for the right reasons. It is regulated in California because it has medical uses. A certain strain of marijuana, called Indica, numbs all pain, but not your sense of touch. For example, I have a girl friend who was in a car accident that injured her right arm in a way that caused it to constantly be in pain. She used to take 8 vicodin per day, the recommended max. But Indica is the only thing she can take that heals her pain and allows her to function properly.

Here is a personal example of marijuana's medical use: I naturally have my period every 2-3 months. Since it occurs much less often than most girls', it causes me an unbearable amount of pain. Most girls get pain only in their lower backs and abdomen. But me, the pain is widespread. Imagine being squeezed inside a coffin with four inch needles on every side. That's what the pain is like. I've tried prescriptions, pain killers, midol, massages, meditation- everything. But indica is the Only thing that relieves my pain. But I have to stay inside because the amount I have to smoke to get the pain to subside is more than what I can handle mentally. I don't mind it though I just watch tv or water my plants and do household chores.
