I've been on 30 mg of Paxil for about 2 months now and I have mixed feelings about it's effectiveness. Lately, I've been very Lethargy. I will plan to do certain things the next day, but when I wake up I'm so lazy I don't wanna even take a shower and shave. I just wanna sit around. I'm also in therapy working on CBT, but I still feel uneasy and nervous around people. It's hard to judge though because I don't have a job right now. Who has tried Paxil before? Did it help you? What did it feel like? Did it get rid of your racing thoughts? Man, I'm not sure what to do. It's possible it's helping me, but I still always feel on edge and really self concious.

  1. in my experience the other ssris's are better.  try citalopram, prozac, or effexor.  also tell your doctor you are having anxiety around other people, and he may prescribe you klonopin, valium, xanax, or lorazepam in addition to an ssri.

  2. I have taken alot of different types of anti depressants before I found what worked for me. I personally did not like Paxil because the only way I can describe myself while I was on it is "BLAH" I really felt kind of like I had no emotions.

Two months though is still too soon to be for sure how it will work for you, maybe you should give it a little more time.
