  1. Additives are for suckers. Additives usually require gallons to make a difference to a full tank of gas.

For example the octane boosters an .1 octane. People usually miss read and think its 1 per bottle.

You could pour a gallon of toluene in and that would help but its $17 a gallon.

Save your money additives are for suckers...really.

  2. I have my own theories about any fuel additives. They are good for the company selling them. People are open to anything right now. Fuel is pushing five dollars a gallon and people are panicking about global warming. Anything that helps the environment and saves fuel sounds like a wonderful product. People are open to things that sound wonderful.

But if it was so good, all the major news stations and news papers would be heralding the product as a revolutionary design. The fact MSNBC boasts about it doesn't surprise me. This is the same network that got caught manipulating a fire to demonstrate how dangerous GM fuel tanks were in a collision. They made a public apology over the incident but have never regained my trust.

My advice to you. There are no miracle fuel additives. Keep your engine well tuned and the pressure in your tires at the correct level. Always use good quality fuel. Not high octane, but a good brand of fuel. You will be doing the very best you can for your vehicle's performance and economy as well as the environment
