  1. Yes.  I've been having the injections every 2 to 3 days for 3 weeks.  Each time I have one I feel a bit nauseous and after a couple of hours I get really sleepy and stretchy and I have to sleep.

I was also told to go on sunbeds a couple of times a week in order to kick start the process - it doesn't give you a totally sunless tan on its own.  It is supposed to increase the amount of melanin in your body so that when you're exposed to the real sun your skin will tan two or three times stronger than it would otherwise.

Initially, the injections are given at 2 day intervals - this is the 'load up' period.  During this time it is necessary to be be exposed to the sun and then, to maintain the colour achieved, you need a top-up injection about once a week.

I'm not sure at this stage whether its the Melanotan, the sunbed, or indeed both, that has given me this colour, but I'm going to the South of France next week into 28 degrees of sunshine.  I've been told that I should come back looking as if I've "been to Africa".  Until then I won't be sure whether it's worth continuing.  I don't want to have to use sunbeds to maintain as well as have the injections.

  2. If you are referring to the medicine I know as melatonin, it is a pill form that enhances the natural melatonin in your body to help you get to sleep.  My son uses it to help with an insomnia side affect from a med he takes.  I get it at walmart in the vitamin/supplement isle.  Is this what you mean?
