Like the clear-blue ovulation kit or a different brand? What was your experience with them? Would you recommend them?

  1. Ehh I tried them one month. I used the fertility monitor along with a website ovulation calculator and cervical mucous monitoring. So I already knew what day I was ovulating and the ovulation tests only confirmed it. I think it's a waste of money honestly.

Just use the calculator to figure out what days you are supposed to be fertile. Have s*x every other day during that time. And of course watch for discharge that looks like raw eggs cause then you know for sure that you are ovulating.

Here's the ovulation calculator I used but there are a million on the web. It worked for me right away.

  2. Hi i have used first response ovulation test but i didnt think much of them and they were 20quid a box, this month i bought some from ebay they are one step ovulation tests and they are great, i was able to pinpoint when i ovulated and best of all they only cost £5 with postage, just going through TWW atm, hope this helps Baby dust x

  3. I am using the pee sticks that I bought on line this month and I am loving them. It takes all of the guess work out of trying to figure out when you are ovulating.

  4. Yea I've tried the Clear-blue and it didnt work great for me. I wouldnt recommend them but I do think that the BBT Charts works great. Good luck!

  5. im pregnant! i used the answer sticks everyday. got a positive and went and did the deed!!! i would recommend them if you are unsure about when u are ovulating. I was all over the place. I ovulated every couple of months. and i didnt notice and different discharge. Thats why it worked for me!

    Good Luck

  6. I have used a few different brands of Ovulation kits. I can tell you from my experience that they were a waste of money for me. I have a long, irregular cycle and ended up spending so much money every month just to find out of I was ovulating (it happens at different times every month for me). I can tell now by keeping track of my CM and ovulation pains so I am no longer wasting my money on the kits. If you have a fairly regular cycle, give them a try. I have been told they work great for people who have regular cycles but unfortunately, I am not lucky enough to be one of them! Good luck! Baby dust to you!

  7. Let's just say that I had some irregularities when it came to ovulating and the basal body temp and charts were frustrating for me... I used an ovulation kit one month - I had a positive pregnancy test the next month. Granted this won't happen for everyone, but if you follow the directions and are serious about it, it is a good tool. Good Luck!

  8. Pee-sticks are a great, inexpensive solution to taking the guess work out of ovulation. I get mine from ebay in bulk and they work out real cheap! Type in "ovulation strips" and opt for the cheapest deal - they all do the same job and you'll probably get through quite a few in any given month, particularly in an irregular cycle.

I wouldn't go out and buy a $100 dollar fertility monitor, if that's the kind you're referring to? I personally love my pee-sticks :] They work in the same way as a HPT but look out for the LH in your urine rather than HGC. Start using them from around the time you're expecting to ovulate, you may be suprised to find yourself ovulating a day or two later than expected if you usually just chart CM or use an online calender like I did!

  9. Havent treid them but am TTC. I have heard they are a waste of money. For those of you using the answer/pee sticks where  do you get thos at? I would love to buy them as I dont have regular cycles

  10. We use the ClearBlue Easy DIGITAL test. The ones with just the lines are kinda hard to read sometimes. This one has a smiley face if you are ovulating or a plain circle if you are not. No need to try to interpret the darkness of the lines with this one. It runs about $30 and includes a pregnancy test with the 7 test sticks. The only draw back is that if you need to do it for another month you have to buy the whole thing again. BUT $30 again is worth it in the long run. Good luck to you!
