Question:

Has anyone tried the Water Cure and had leg cramps.?

I tried the water cure and have been drinking more water lately 75 ounces/day. And I noticed that I had been getting very bad leg cramps where I can hardly walk and it feels like pins and needles.

I was reading up on it....and I realized that potassium deficiency causes those symptoms....however the recommended dose of 4,000 mg. is hard to achieve because they only sell it in 99 mg. doses. Then there is the sodium too that they say works with the potassium.

I am confused. Could someone who knows a little something about this please explain to me whether I should put salt in the water I am drinking (sea salt ?) or what. Please help!

  1. First of all, water can't cure anything except dehydration.  It is a completely baseless naturopathic treatment.

Drinking excess amounts of water can be dangerous by causing electrolyte disturbances, mostly sodium and potassium.  People die by drinking too much water

Do yourself a favour, and stop this stupid and dangerous treatment right now.
