Has anyone unlocked any of their pension to release cash?

If yes, how long does the process take roughly?

Yes I didnt when I was 50 because I was moving to Spain.

EDIT

The company that im with took about 2 1/2  weeks before I got the cash in the bank .I took half as a lump sum and the rest as a monthly pension.

you can get some of a personal pension not the government one when you are 60 yrs some might give it you at 50yrs.
