So my period last 7 days. I had s*x on the 4th day of my period and took Plan b on the 5th day. My period ended around the 7th day as normal, but like 1 or 2 days later my period came back. I know it wasn't spotting, it was my period because it was medium heavy.

Does this have anything to do with the plan b pill? Is it one of the side effects?

10 points for the best answer! thanks.

  1. I have used Plan B before, 2 or 3 times, and this never occurred when I used it and I dont recall the doctor or pharmacist informing about this kind of side effect...the only common side effect, to my knowledge, is nausea.....I dont believe its related the Plan B, but you could always call your doctor or pharmacy to be sure

    Good Luck

  2. Plan B very commonly affects your menstrual cycle.  However it can't hurt to take a pregnancy test, just to make sure.

ADD:  Plan B serves many functions to prevent pregnancy... and i mean PREVENT.  It prevents fertilization.  There's nothing abortive or life ending about prevention of fertilization of an egg.  The birth control pill, condoms, etc do the same thing... prevent fertilization.
