  1. I have used it extensively for the past six years for hotels only.  I have used it in big cities (Las Vegas, Seattle, San Fracncisco) and small towns (Hershey, PA, Jamesburg, NJ).  I am sure I have saved at lease $2,000 in those years, and it has allowed me and my wife to stay in high-end places we normally would not spend that sort of of money on.

From what I have read it really doesn't work well for flights.  For hotels, you definitely need to do your homework.  Go to Priceline and figure out what zones are available for your destination, then go to a good map site (www.maps.google is excellent), and determine if you want to stay in that area.  You are locked in to what they give you, so you need some flexibility.  A great site for some background info is www.biddingfortravel.com.  People post their wins, the amount, and the star ratings.  I usually have a pretty good idea of a few hotels I will get for a particular destination.

If you do use Priceline, document your bids so you have an idea of the history.

  2. I have seen many complaints about them, and few people state they liked Priceline.  I find it takes FOREVER, and saves you nothing.

  3. I receive their emails. I have a Priceline shopper card which I got when I bought a product form their shopfront. I think that it is supposed to give my some special consideration in relation to prices.

I would only buy cosmetic products from them from their shop fronts. I wouldn't buy on line if I were you. I don't know what they are like for promptness of service. I think that you need to see cosmetic products before you pay. They are too expensive to buy without inspection.

Priceline is definitely a legitimate business selling cosmetics. If you want to get to one of their stores try to find out where the nearest store is to you.

This web address may help you find your nearest store.

    Good Luck!!!
