Has anyone used Western Union?

I'm about to order something from a certain supply on one of the websites similar to Ebay but the supply doesn't accept PAY PAL, I must use bank transfer or Western Union. Does anybody know how it works? I must deposit the cash in US dollars.

You go over there and fill out a form telling them who you're sending it to and what-not, you give them the money and they will give you a code.  Give that code to the receiver, and they go to a Western Union office and give them the code.  They receive the check, which can be cashed immediately.
