Most reputable international and American international schools work with one of two agencies, ISS or Search Associates.  I got my job in Asia through Search Associates and was really happy with the process. They were helpful, thorough and really had my best interests at heart.

I used teacher to teacher and another similar one.  Both had listings for other countries, but I chose one in the US.
