Hi okay

as most of you all know ELF stands for Eyes Lip and Face, they are sold at drugstores for like $5. Anyways I was thinking about buying the Mineral Concealer and Foundation because I have combination skin and with most make up my skin either becomes really dry-ed out with Liquid foundation (I have been using Alamy true match or w/e its called) It starts out really nice and smooth- covering all the problem areas, but near the end of the day my skin will peel and its just gross.

But If I don't use some type of makeup - my skin becomes an oil trap - its the grossest thing ever.

Anyways I was looking at mineral makeup because for most people it controls oil and such - which is what I really need.

But my question is it really good coverage for my type of skin and stuff?

Also if its not, what would you recommend? It cant be too expensive, I'm running out of money from my summer job!

  1. Get a good skin care routine, do a mask & if you can afford it, get some Mary Kay microderm abrasion & use it to get all that dead skin off. If not, please use the # 2 or # 3 mask.

The purest & has less fillers, is the beeroyalproducts.com,southernmagnoliamin... & Avon & this one,

http://www.smmcosmetics.com/ which the last 2 pays shipping & is a great buy. Southern, also is a rice based make up & it absorbs oil. they both should have enough zinc in them to really help.

  2. well truthfully elf makeup is a really crappy makeup because i used to buy it because it was cheap. i think that estee lauder (maybe too expnsive) or lancome paris is great (not too bad) annd revlon is good too. those are the best i can think  of. hope i helped!

  3. Best mineral make up is bare essentials (my opinion). i have tried all the mineral makeup there is.  its pricey, but you could get a great buy on ebay, that where i get it, never in retail.  and if that is too expensive i think the best is the Lorelle mineral concealers. they are very affordable and the best mineral makeup you can buy in drug stores.

  4. mineral makeup is great , and also i would recommend an oil free moisturizer, like clean n clear, and apply mineral makeup. maybelline makes great powder, not pressed for like 10 bucks!

  5. I heard that Everyday Minerals is a really good makeup to use. They have a free starter kit and all you pay for is shipping you might wanna try that out before going with something really expensive like Bare Minerals. Their website is www.everydayminerals.com, I'm seriously considering ordering the free sample thing. Good luck, I feel your pain about the oiliness...its gross I know. I use Rimmell Lasting Finish 16 hr and I really like it. I use their Fix & Perfect primer first then my liquid foundation and then brush on some power to set it and then with my Kabuki brush I buff it in and I have to say....I loveeeeeeee that little brush!!!! It blends out all the lines REALLLY well!!!!
