  1. kinesiology is a very interesting in its use.  Basically in lamens terms it's used for determining if something benefits you or damages you.  One test you can do if it's an item that you are analyzing for a patient, have the patient hold the item in one hand and raise his other hand horizontal to the floor(like a wing to the side), now push down on the horizontal hand and if the item is beneficial the resistance on the hand will be strong, if it's bad for that person his hand will easily bend down.  Do this with and without the item your are testing in the other hand.  You should see more resistance with something like vitamins and no resistance with something like a bottle of vodka.  It definitely works, I've done it.  There are other methods as well, but this is the simplest and least biased.

  2. Kinesiology, also known as Human Kinetics, is the science of human movement. It focuses on how the body functions and moves. A kinesiological approach applies scientific and evidence based medical principles towards the analysis, preservation and enhancement of human movement in all settings and populations. Kinesiologists work in research, the fitness industry, clinically, and in industrial environments. It is not to be confused with Applied Kinesiology a controversial alternative medicine technique.

  3. as princess04 eloquently pointed out, above, there is a differnce between kinesiology and applied kinesiology

all independent, double-blind tests with applied kinesiology have shown the effects are psychological and dependant on what the recipient *thinks* should happen

in short - quack medicine using 'smoke and mirrors'
