I want to make a strawberry cheesecake. I was wondering if using philly strawberry cream cheese as a substitute would be a good idea.

  1. The flavors are usually whipped cream cheese, which will NOT work in a cheese cake.  You need the rectangular packages

  2. I don't think it will work as well. Cheese cakes rely on the fat content of the cheese used.

  3. I wouldn't. I used a flavored cream cheese in baking once, and instead of baking normally, it bubbled and burned badly. Plus as someome mention, philly is often whipped up, which doesn't work for cheesecakes.
