  3. It's a bad idea, trust me. I have spent a fortune on beauty products, and I came to the conclusion (after reading recent clinical studies) that over time they can actually accelerate the ageing process. Acid peels, and particularly fruit enzymes can destroy and break down the skin over time. Your body naturally will rid itself of unwanted dead skin cells. If you really must insist on exfoliating etc then don't do it more than twice a month, DESPITE what Estee Lauder, No.7, etc tell you. They just want to sell their product. Just have a good skin care regime, cleanse morning and night, use a nice moisturiser and a good sun block, the rest is of no use.

    It will neither help with pigmentation or blemishes either. Try Dr Hauska's products or Dermalogica, Dr Hauska's products are very natural and non- abrasive.
