I am about to come off the pill after being on it for 10 years as I would like a break for my body and get my periods back to normal.

Anyway we will start off by using condoms, would like to use the persona monitor as well so that we don't need to use condoms all the time.

So has anyone used the persona monitor? I like the idea of using something that works with your body, plus hopefully it will give us a good idea of my cycle for when we ttc!

  1. A young neighbour has uses one for 5 years and swears by it.  I didn't ask her if she abstained or whether she used other contraception on 'green' days.  Apparently there is a 6% chance of pregnancy if you don't abstain or take precautions on green days.

She said it was a bit fiddly to start with, urine tests and understanding it all.

It says it is only suitable for normal cycles 'from 23 to 35days'.
