  1. It's a prepaid card.  No different than a store gift card except that is has a Visa logo and therefore, you can spend whatever is on it wherever they accept Visa.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with your credit.  Anything affecting your credit will more than likely have your social security number attached to it.

  2. It's just like a gift card...you use it until the available credit is gone. A debit card is linked to an actual bank account. When you swipe it for purchases the funds are automatically withdrawn from the account.

If it's an actual credit card you're looking for you'll need to apply for one. The extension of credit is based on your credit worthiness....if you're score isn't too hot apply for a secured card with Capital One www.capitalone.com. If your score and/or income is good apply with Visa or Mastercard and look for the lowest rate card.

  3. Have you looked at the fees on the thing?

  4. The Prepaid Rush Visa logo card is just like any other Visa/Mastercard logo credit card, it is secured by your own money, so it is not a credit card that is (unsecured).  You can't gain or get credit like this, and it will  not be report to the credit bureaus.  You will have to either get a secured or unsecured credit card to build credit history.

  5. It is a debit card, not credit.

I suggest getting the Bank Freedom prepaid debit card http://www.bankfreedom.com  -  I've done a lot of research on the subject and their card is by far the best.  They have no activation fee and there is no monthly fee if you have your paycheck directly deposited on the card.  You can load them with Green Dot MoneyPaks at a heck of alot of places.  They work just like a credit card and there is no credit check or bank needed.

    Hope this helps.  Thanks!
