Has anyone used this recipe for freezing cucumbers?

I was always under the impression that you can't freeze cucumbers. However, I found some instructions for freezing cucumbers (see link below) and would like to give it a try. Has anyone ever used this "recipe", and if so, how did the cucumbers taste (are they really salty, do they have a pickle-like flavor, etc.)? What did you use the cucumbers for after defrosting them? Also, how long will they keep in the freezer?

They will taste like a "New Pickle" or a half done pickle.

You can't really freeze cukes.

the recipe you had posted is almost the same as bread & butter pickles.  why not just pickle them? they'll keep for over a year in a dark closet.
