My sister was inbetween health insurances in her job, and of course, needed emergency gall bladder surgery. The surgeon wanted $4000, they agreed on $2000. She had the surgery, and when she told me the cost, as a Medical Biller I advised her that ins co have fee schedules and would pay between $500 and $900 depending on the co. So now the doc is suing for the $4000. Has anyone had a court experience with a doc suing for pymt?

  1. Use the search engine like google or yahoo to brainstorm some ideas first if you want to obtain the massive information,if you do not want to spend too much time, here is a good resource for your reference about your questions.http://heath-insurance.tips-free.info/he...

  2. If they agreed on 2K for services, then cannot sue for 4K and win. Also, if your sis agreed to pay 2K, she is on the hook for that amount.

I suggest that your sis contact a lawyer, pay a small fee and ask the atty to write a letter to the doc offering to settle the claim.
