Has anyone walked up the Tower of Pisa in Italy.....?

What is at the top and how many steps up is it? Thank you.

Yes, the last one last march with an american friend who came to visit me in pisa, where I live. there is nothing on the top, just the bell. but the view is fantastic. I don't remember how many steps but i think Vogue is right.

296 steps, the bell tower is at the top, and you can walk around the circumference of the tower and see the entire piazza
